Former Seattle SuperSonic Robert Swift has been charged in connection with a raid at a Kirkland home last month, prosecutors said.
The King County Prosecutor’s Office charged 28-year-old Swift Thursday with unlawful possession of a short-barreled shotgun and his bail was set at $20,000. Swift’s arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 26.
On Oct. 4, a SWAT team surrounded a Kirkland home in the 14000 block of 108th Avenue Northeast, less than a block from Helen Keller Elementary School. Officers said after they served a search warrant, they found methamphetamine, heroin, nearly 30 loaded guns, including assault rifles; and items stolen in car prowls and burglaries all over the area.
The owner of the home, 54-year-old Trygve Bjorkstam, was arrested. Swift was Bjorkstam’s roommate.
Bjorkstam is currently facing drug and gun charges.
The Sonics drafted Swift out of high school as a 12th overall pick in 2004.
