SEATTLE — A former standout basketball player from Seattle is in jail in connection with a murder in California.
Lavell White played for both Franklin and Rainier Beach high school teams.
He went on to play basketball for Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria.
He was arrested Saturday with a fellow teammate.
They are suspected of killing 23-year-old Terence Richardson.
Richardson was found shot near his Santa Maria home.
