SEATTLE -- The building that formerly housed the Lusty Lady peep show on First Avenue is now set to become a boutique hotel.
The Seattle-based real estate development firm Revolve announced its plans to renovate the building located near the Pike Place Market, but says that the building’s character will stay untouched.
The front of the Lusty Lady marquee, which was updated weekly with catchy phrases advertising the adult entertainment, is at the Museum of History and Industry. The business was at 1315 First Avenue from 1985 until summer 2010. It opened in another location in the 1970s.
The 24,000 square foot building has been vacant since the Lusty Lady closed, but is scheduled to re-open its doors in 2017 as a 43-room boutique hotel with 4,100 sq. ft. of retail space and a rooftop deck.
