Ex-NFL, Cougar QB Ryan Leaf sentenced to 5 years
After four unproductive and injury-plagued seasons in the NFL from 1998-2001, quarterback Ryan Leaf was out of the league and ran into legal problems involving drugs. In 2010 a Texas judge sentenced him to 10 years' probation. Then in 2012, he pleaded guilty to burglary and drug possession and given a five-year jail term. In January, he was moved from a drug treatment center to state prison in Montana for threatening a staff member and violating his treatment plan. (AP)
