KENT, Wash. — A four-alarm fire at a Kent recycling plant sent a huge plume of black smoke into the sky.
International Paper Company receives hundreds of tons of pre-recycled paper products, which they bundle and send out.
A pile of unbundled paper products is where the fire is located. The fire is reportedly deep in the pile.

As crews fight the fire, trucks bringing in paper for recycling are backing up. They can't bring in any new paper while the plant is shut down and the fire is going.
Crews have to pick through the pile to put out the fire and make sure embers do not fly around.
Seattle Fire Department sent three engines, a battalion chief, and a ladder truck to Kent for additional assistance.
Smoke is thick in the area and ash is falling across the street from the plant, a witness told KIRO 7.
A semi was also on fire.
The plant is located near 1200 6th Avenue.
