BELLEVUE, Wash. — A small explosion and fire outside the Bellevue Library Saturday evening resulted in an evacuation.
It happened at about 4:45 p.m. at the downtown library located on 110th Avenue Northeast.
Bellevue police said a small battery pack, possibly from an electric bicycle, was leaning against a concrete wall outside the library and ignited.
People inside the library were evacuated out of precaution as the bomb squad investigated, police said.
Police said there were no injuries or damage done to the library.
A crew with the Bellevue Fire Department was called, but the battery pack burned out before they arrived.
