Drugs found in car at state patrol's impound lot in Spokane

Three people cut through a security fence and tried to enter the Washington State Patrol impound lot in Spokane.

The patrol says an alarm sounded and the three ran off early Wednesday without reaching any cars.

The SpokesmanReview reports their target may have been a car that was impounded earlier in the week after a traffic stop on Highway 2 where two peoplewere arrested.

When investigators searched the car Wednesday they found a pound of methamphetamine, a pound of marijuana, 2 ounces of heroin and guns.
