LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Rescue crews cut the roof off of a crashed car to rescue a driver who was trapped inside.
The car slammed into a tree near State Route 524 in Lynnwood about 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Police say the driver was putting others in danger by driving too fast and going the wrong direction on Highway 99.
The debris from the mangled car is expected to be cleared for the morning commute.
