KEY PENINSULA, Wash. — Firefighters are investigating what caused a wildfire burning on the Key Peninsula in Pierce County.
A fire chief at the scene told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the fire has grown to nearly 10 acres, but firefighters have laid a fire line completely around the flames.
Investigators are trying to figure out if the owner of the property where the fire started violated a burn ban or if the cause was something else.
The fire was first reported Wednesday afternoon in the 18000 block of 144th Street Kp N.
