Crash near Lake Stevens involves two cars, causes injuries

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — A crash near Lake Stevens on Saturday morning involved two cars and caused injury.

The crash occurred on Highway 92 at 75th Street, according to police.

A 36-year-old woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

A young boy in the same car, the woman's son, suffered a leg injury.

Trooper Mark Francis with the Washington State Patrol advised that the accident may have resulted in a fatality.

State Route 92 at 75th was fully blocked.

A detour was set up from 84th to State Route 9, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

At around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, transportation officials advised that all lanes on State Route 92 at 75th -- had reopened.
