LYNNWOOD, Wash. — A taxi cab driver was beaten and robbed by two men in Lynnwood Tuesday.
About midnight on Dec. 3, the man was attacked and robbed of his cash and credit card in the 16600 block of Sixth Avenue West.
Deputies said the attackers then forced the cab driver, a 51 year-old man, to walk with them to an ATM at a convenience store in the 200 block of 164th Street Southwest.
After unsuccessfully trying force the victim to withdraw cash from the ATM, the men fled on foot.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office detectives said they believe that one of the robbers is 27-year-old Eric T. Johnson.
Police said Johnson is known to frequent south Everett, Lynnwood and north Seattle, especially public transportation facilities and homeless shelters.
Detectives are also looking to identify the other robber, described as a white man who is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing glasses when the crime was committed.
