Amazon has begun hiring for more than 1,200 newly created full-time positions at its new fulfillment center in Kent.
Employees at the new center will work alongside technologies, including Amazon robotics, to fulfill customer orders.
The new center will be the third robotics fulfillment center in Western Washington, with other locations in Sumner and DuPont. Employees at the 800,000-square-foot facility will pick, pack and ship smaller customer orders such as books, electronic devices and toys.
Amazon said full-time employees receive competitive hourly wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, 401(k) and company stock awards starting on day one as well as paid parental leave.
