SEATTLE — A rave event called Lucky Festival is will draw more than 10,000 people to WaMu Theatre Friday night, the same venue that hosted last fall's FreakNight, which was cancelled after an attendee overdosed on the drug Molly and died.
USC Events is putting out safety videos this year in the lead up to Lucky Festival that include information about water stations and helpful booths.
KIRO 7 asked USC Events how they will prevent another overdose.
"Well, we make very sure that there's two things. That it's zero tolerance, for any kind of illegal substances, and once you're inside the venue we want to take care of you," said Alex Fryer, with USC Events.
USC events says they have 328 security officers on sight for Lucky Festival, plus 14 EMTs.
They also say they have removed all bathroom stall doors to prevent drug use.
They have volunteers that roam the festival to help people.
USC events say Friday's set up is roughly the same security set up they had during
FreakNight, which will happen again this fall.
"Oh, yeah. Absolutely. We're on schedule for that. It's going to be bigger, and more spectacular than years past," said Fryer.
