SEATTLE — Seattle police said a 9-year-old boy pulled a knife on a teacher at an elementary school in West Seattle on Wednesday. The incident happened at Gatewood Elementary School.
Police said the boy walked into the classroom and pulled a knife on the teacher.
The teacher was able to get the knife away from the student before police arrived.
The teacher got all the students out of the classroom. No injuries were reported.
The school has not been evacuated and after-school programs were still in session.
Officials with Seattle Public Schools told KIRO 7 the boy was taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
