WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. — Rescue crews on Whidbey Island were called to help a dog that fell down a 20-foot embankment Wednesday afternoon.
First responders used a rope system to pull the old, 80-pound dog up from behind its owner’s home near Useless Bay, officials said.
The dog had gotten stuck for about an hour.

Rescuers said the dog was not injured and was happy to be back at home.
