Pedestrian struck by hit-and-run driver in Elma

ELMA, Wash. — Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian Friday evening in Elma.

Officers were called after 5:10 p.m. to the area of the State Route 12 extension at the Eagles Landing entrance for a collision.

When police arrived, they found the pedestrian, but the suspect vehicle had fled the scene, heading eastbound on SR 12 toward Oakville, authorities said.

Police said they are looking for a vehicle described as a late 90s Honda car with a loud exhaust, yellow headlights and has possible front end/hood damage.

No other information was provided about the pedestrian.
