Travelers can finally return to Hawaii and get a much-needed dose of sunshine as we enter the winter months.

Beginning Oct. 15, you can get to the islands if you take a coronavirus test and test negative within 72 hours of arrival to avoid a 14-day quarantine.

You used to have to commit to a 14-day quarantine.

Travelers will also have their temperature checked upon arrival and will be required to complete and travel and health form.

If your result is not available once you get to Hawaii, you will need to remain in quarantine until you get the result.

The state has effectively been closed to visitors since the pandemic began, harshly affecting the local economy.
