Burst of snow returns to Western Washington, heavy rain expected to follow

SEATTLE — The snow on Tuesday wasn’t just limited to the mountains. From King County north, snow was falling and accumulating all across the region.

At times, the snow was really coming down in Lake Stevens. The temperature kept bouncing between 30 and 33 degrees.

By Wednesday night, the snow level is expected to rise to between 4,000 and 6,000 feet in the Cascades and between 6,000 and 7,000 feet in the Olympics, forecasters said.

We’ll dry things out over the weekend, but a few showers will remain -- especially on Saturday.

Sunday and Monday we should see sunny skies.
