An arborist is in critical condition after he was pinned by a branch Saturday while working high up in a Shoreline tree.
The arborist, a 72-year-old man, was rescued by Shoreline fire officials and taken to Harborview for treatment of his serious injuries.
Fire officials said he was alert at the time of rescue.
Officials with Shoreline fire said he was wearing the "appropriate gear" for the work he was doing.
He was about 40 feet up the tree when he became pinned by the tree limb.
The incident, which occurred near 190th and 15th Avenue NW in Shoreline, will be investigated.
