I-90 open after crash closes eastbound lanes Friday morning

All lanes of eastbound Interstate 90 are closed west of Preston after a major crash between a car and a semi truck.

UPDATE: All lanes were open shortly after 2 p.m. Friday.

ORIGINAL TEXT: All lanes of eastbound Interstate 90 were closed west of Preston after a major crash between a car and a semi truck.

One left lane opened shortly before noon, but drivers should still avoid the area and expect long delays.

The crash happened just east of High Point Road at about 10:20 a.m.

The driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle.  The victim, who was believed to be seriously hurt, has been transported to a trauma center.

A detour is set up at exit 20, High Point.

Those stuck past exit 20 and behind the crash are being turned around and directed back to detour.
