Tropical Storm Harvey reached historic, catastrophic levels as it pounded the Houston region with torrential rain, becoming the city’s worst storm on record and causing widespread flooding that has led to more than 1,000 rescues.
Since most people in the northwest aren’t in a position to assist with rescue efforts directly, the next best thing is to give what we can to the organizations that exist to provide aid in times like these.
If you're able to donate, here are some ways you can do that.

Hurricane Harvey slammed into Rockport, Texas, late Friday evening as it made landfall along the Gulf Coast. Coastal residents braced for “life-threatening storm surge, rainfall and wind hazards,” as the first Category 4 hurricane since 2004’s Hurricane Charley barreled ashore.
Harvey was downgraded to a tropical storm Saturday afternoon, but torrential rains still inundated parts of Texas, causing unprecedented flooding.
