SEATTLE — Just after midnight Monday morning a driver crashed into the City Target store at 2nd Avenue and Pike Street in downtown Seattle.

The Seattle Police Department is investigating the incident. They are now calling it a hit-and-run.

According to a witness at the scene, an SUV hit the building after the driver collided with another vehicle. When KIRO 7 arrived, the vehicle or vehicles involved had left the scene.

Employees at the store tell us the City Target store will be open for business Monday morning.

The Seattle Fire Department was on scene trying to fix a water leak in the building that was apparently caused by the impact.
