SEATTLE — Seattle firefighters battled a tugboat fire at Fishermen's Terminal in Ballard.

Everyone on board safely evacuated the 100-foot boat at 1900 West Nickerson Street.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. Wednesday and quickly escalated to two alarms.

"It must have gotten out of control, because they evacuated," Moore said.

The Seattle Fire Department's spokesman Kyle Moore said the vessel's crew said the fire started in the engine room.

Video from Chopper 7 showed smoke pouring from the front of the vessel.

There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation
