Truck fire backs up traffic on I-405

KING COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters battled a stubborn truck fire on southbound Interstate 405 Monday morning.

The fire closed the two right lanes on Northeast 160th Street in the Kingsgate area.

Police had to close the 160th Street ramp to traffic while the fire was being fought.

Crews used foam to douse the stubborn flames, but the fire persisted.

Video from Chopper 7 showed flames shooting from under the truck.

Traffic was backed up for miles during the morning commute.
