Police replace tricycle stolen from Oklahoma boy with Down syndrome

SHAWNEE, Okla. — Police in Shawnee, Oklahoma, are looking for someone who stole a tricycle from a family one day after Christmas.

Police said they were called to the home in Shawnee on Dec. 26 after several items, including the adult tricycle, were stolen.

The family said the boy, who has Down syndrome, recently learned to ride it, and it was therapeutic for him.

Anyone who sees a similar tricycle to the one pictured here is asked to contact the Shawnee Police Department at 405-273-2122.

The Shawnee Police Association bought the boy a new tricycle to replace the stolen one.
