BALTIMORE — At least one person is dead and several people, some possibly children, were trapped after an explosion rocked a Baltimore neighborhood, according to multiple media reports.

Several homes were damaged in Northwest Baltimore in what is being called a “major” gas explosion, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Officials are still searching for more victims, WBFF reported.

It happened just before 10 a.m. and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company are on the scene, NBC News reported.

One woman was killed and at least two others were seriously injured, fire officials told the newspaper.

At least three homes were destroyed, WJZ reported.

The explosion happened on the fourth anniversary of the Flower Branch Apartments explosion in Silver Spring, Maryland, WJLA reported. That blast killed seven people, including two children. The National Transportation Safety Board said a faulty gas regulator caused the 2016 explosion, WJLA reported.
