Emu escapes farm, walks down busy road

RANDALLSTOWN, Md. — It wasn’t the Limu Emu that people saw walking down a busy Maryland road.

Instead, an emu had escaped from a Baltimore County farm and went on an adventure through a neighborhood Saturday, WBAL reported.

Police eventually found the emu at Liberty Road and waited for employees from the farm to capture the bird, WBAL reported.

The emu escaped from a fenced yard at Lynn’s Farm and Nature Center, WJZ reported.

Sadly, the bird didn’t survive its day running free. A police spokesperson said it had died from stress and exhaustion, WJZ reported.
