APOPKA, Fla. — An Orange County, Florida, teacher is facing criminal charges after investigators said she sent more than 100,000 inappropriate text messages to a female student.

Alyson London, 44, bonded out of jail and is facing at least a half-dozen charges.

Investigators said London’s relationship with her former student began last year and continued until the end of September.

Investigators said an anonymous tip more than a month ago to the Department of Children and Families sparked the investigation.

Police said London, who teaches at Apopka Memorial Middle School, exchanged 129,000 sexually explicit text messages with a 14-year-old student.

Police said both the student and London denied the sexual relationship.
