EXTON, Pa. — It was a slippery situation on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Tuesday morning. But it wasn’t caused by the usual Keystone State snow and ice. It was because of a crash involving a tractor-trailer carrying jugs of dish soap.
A car collided with the truck at milepost 317, Turnpike spokesperson Carol DeFebo told WCAU.
The soap spilled all over the highway, forcing drivers to be detoured around the mess.
The truck then hit a bridge, WPVI reported.
Officials categorized the shutdown as an "extended closure," WGAL reported.
