SEATTLE — Police have made an arrest in a downtown Seattle stabbing that left a teen with life-threatening injuries.
On Friday night, a teenager was stabbed shortly before 8 p.m. near a dry cleaning business on Second Avenue and Pine Street.
Medics said the 16-year-old was stabbed multiple times in the back. He was rushed to Harborview Medical Center.
As detectives were investigating the scene, a woman approached a Tukwila police officer at the Light Rail station near the airport and pointed out two people.
People associated with the victim knew the suspect, but did not help with identifying him, police said.
According to police, she told the officer that the two had been involved in a stabbing in Seattle.
Tukwila officers detained the two people and detectives responded to the station to interview them. A 21-year-old man was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault.
Authorities will continue to investigate the incident.
