A man has pleaded not guilty to murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Tacoma.
that 50-year-old Yancy Ray entered not guilty pleas Thursday to charges of second-degree murder and unlawful gun possession. He remains held on $2 million bail for the Sept. 3 shooting.
Ray turned himself in to police on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Ray shot and killed 41-year-old Hyson Sabb after an argument over a marijuana deal.
Ray's attorney maintains his client acted in self-defense after Sabb attacked him.
His wife was charged earlier this month with rendering criminal assistance after authorities say she helped Ray flee to Oregon after the shooting.
