A man is accused of shooting and killing his wife and injuring her son Thursday at their Olympia home, investigators said.
The Thurston County Sheriff's Office said the shooting happened in the 1900 block of Meixner Street Northeast.
Investigators said the woman's 32-year-old son was shot in the back when he tried to protect her.
Deputies took the suspect into custody.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is stable.
Investigators said this was a domestic violence related homicide.
KIRO 7 learned that about a decade ago, deputies came to the same house for a report of a domestic violence call involving the suspect's former wife.
