FIFE, Wash. — Update: The 13-year-old girl who was reported missing since Wednesday has been found safe, Fife police said.
Police reported about 9:30 a.m. Vanessa Moore was recovered.
Original story: Fife police are trying to find a missing 13-year-old girl who has not been seen since Wednesday afternoon.
When the library closed at 8 p.m., Vanessa still had not returned home. Her parents tried to find her, but when they could not, they called the police department at 9:45 p.m.
Vanessa Moore was last seen by her father in the 6500 block of 20th Street East in the city of Fife at 3 p.m., when she told her father she was going to the library, which is a short distance away.
She was last seen wearing a black “Caffeine Queen” shirt, blue pants and a black sweatshirt and was carrying a blue backpack.
Vanessa has family in the Tacoma area and knows people in Lakewood.
Anyone who sees the girl or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
