Police: Death of man found in burned Graham home homicide

GRAHAM, Wash. — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a burned home in Graham as a homicide.

The Medical Examiner said the man died from injuries to his head and neck and not from the fire.

According to the News Tribune, the victim was 55-year-old Douglas Erhardt.

Neighbors told KIRO 7 the man who lived in the home was often avoided by others because of his bizarre and sometimes confrontational behavior.

Police say the fire at the home in the 19300 block 89th Avenue Northeast Wednesday morning was intentionally set and started in multiple places.

The man had CDs placed at windows throughout the home to protect him from rays he thought were beamed into the house by the government.
