Police: 5 men at large after teenager shot at school event

SEATTLE — Police are looking for five men after a teenager was shot at a school function Friday evening, according to the Seattle Police Department.

Police said officers were responding to an incident that happened at 7:34 p.m.  in the 4000 block of Northeast 109th Street.

During an investigation, the incident started when the teenager got into a verbal altercation with the men on the playground on the back side of the school.

Two of the five men pulled out airsoft pistols and began shooting at the teenager, striking him once, according to police. All five fled the scene.

Police said the teenager was there for the event but the men were not.

The principal of the school was at the event and placed the school under lockdown, police said.

Officers responded to the scene and did an area search, but could not find the men. The lockdown was lifted shortly after.

According to police, there were no injuries.
