MASON COUNTY, Wash. — The driver of a motorcycle was hurt and his passenger was killed in a crash in Mason County 5 miles west of Shelton Wednesday afternoon.
The Mason County Sheriff’s Office said the man driving the motorcycle hit the guard rail at 4:30 p.m. on Cloquallum Road, west of the Shelton Valley Road.
The driver had multiple broken bones. His passenger, a woman, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
A search warrant was served on the driver for a blood draw to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
