EVERETT, Wash. — A puppy whose back legs are paralyzed was fitted for wheels after the Everett Animal Shelter posted a video on Facebook that led to donations from across the country.
The shelter says Noodle came to the shelter as a stray. Her paralyzed back legs are likely the result of an injury that happened when she was younger.

Though Noodle could get around without the use of her back legs, staff at the shelter knew that a cart would make her life easier.
Once Noodle’s needs were posted on Facebook, enough donation money came to pay for the cart after thousands saw her story.

Shelter staff worked with a local Washington company, K9 Carts, and Noodle is now getting accustomed to her new set of wheels.

The shelter says before Noodle was fitted for wheels, she had two sets of x-rays, bloodwork and a neurology evaluation, all paid for through donations made to Everett Animal Shelter's Fund for the Animals.
This fund is used to pay for veterinary care for the shelter animals, including diagnosing and treating special needs animals.
