Man sought in connection with series of mobile home burglaries

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Police are looking for a man who may have information about a recent string of mobile home burglaries in Snohomish County.

Investigators believe a series of burglaries in five different south Snohomish County mobile home parks over the last few weeks may be related.

Police said at least 25 mobile home units have been broken into at adult-55 or older complexes.

Police said that in most cases, the burglar has entered the home at night through a window, often unscrewing porch lights or interior lamp bulbs.  Items stolen include jewelry, cash and electronics.

The mobile home parks include Carriage Club Estates, Lynnwood Heights, Wandering Creek, Lago de Plata Villa and Mariner Village.

Police have been working with park residents on securing their homes and neighborhood watch groups in the parks have been created.

The person of interest is described as a man who is about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and was last seen at the 16800 block of Highway 99 in Lynnwood around 3 a.m. on Oct. 4, wearing gray sweatpants and a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt with orange writing.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the man is asked to call the Sheriff's Office Tip line at 425-388-3845.
