Summit at Snoqualmie closes early due to power outage

A power outage forced the Summit at Snoqualmie to close early on Sunday.

The outage, which was caused by trees and vegetation hitting power lines, impacted the entire Snoqualmie Pass area.

At around 5 p.m., 1,200 people in the area were affected.

The resort said unused lift tickets for Sunday will be automatically extended and can be used for any other day during the season.

All lifts were closed and night operations were also canceled.

As for outages, there has been a handful in the area in the last 30 to 40 days.
