RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed cornerback Jamar Taylor.
Taylor was with the Seahawks during training camp, but was released during final cuts on Aug. 31.
The Seahawks waived cornerback Perry Nickerson to make room for Taylor on the 53-man roster.
The 28-year-old was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins after playing at Boise State University.
Nickerson was acquired in a trade from the New York Jets before the season.
Taylor is a vested veteran and because he was not on the team's roster during week one, his contract will not be fully guaranteed.
The Seahawks gave up 395 total passing yards in Sunday's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
A corresponding roster move has not yet been announced.
The Seahawks next travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Sunday.
