SEATTLE — A power outage is affecting around 1,750 customers in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Seattle City Light first reported the outage in a tweet around 9:45 a.m.
Officials said downed wires are blocking eastbound and southbound lanes at East Denny Way and Belmont Avenue East.
Around 10:45 a.m. power was restored to around 4,900 customers.
Around 6,600 customers were originally affected.
Officials originally said the estimated restoration time for the remaining customers was 1 p.m.
An updated map showed that customers near East Olive Street should expect to have their power back on around 6 a.m. on Friday.
"We continue to work to restore power to the area as quickly and as safely as possible. Thank you for your patience!" officials said in a tweet.
