FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A fire at a house in Federal Way revealed a marijuana grow Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the home on Southwest 312th Place and Eighth Avenue Southwest at about 1 a.m.
Though the fire was minor and was contained to a garage, a man was trapped inside and had to be helped out by firefighters, who had to break a window to get him out.
Detectives will be called in for an investigation into the grow operation after fire crews are done.
The victim was treated at St. Francis Hospital for smoke inhalation.
Investigators don’t yet know if the marijuana grow was related to the fire.
