Woman shot by Tacoma police officer at pizza shop

TACOMA, Wash. — Tacoma police are investigating an officer-involved shooting Tuesday evening.

The shooting happened at 9 p.m. at Dominos Pizza in the 3800 block of Pacific Avenue.

Investigators said people reported that there was a woman 50-60 years of age armed with a knife. When officers arrived, they reported that shots were fired.

No officers were injured.

The woman has been identified as Thao Thi Pham. She was taken to Tacoma General Hospital for treatment, and was rendered capable of being booked into Pierce County Jail. She was arraigned on a charge of first degree assault.

Police said one officer was involved and was placed on standard administrative leave.
