Another winter storm is expected to keep snow on the ground across Western Washington this weekend, and snowy conditions on Friday created major traffic backups across King County.
Gov. Jay Inslee today declared a statewide state of emergency Friday in preparation for the storm expected to move through the Pacific Northwest throughout the weekend.

Snow will continue to stick around on roads through Saturday and into Sunday as temperatures are not expected to get much above freezing.
More than 100 flights out of SeaTac were cancelled because of weather. Follow this link to find a flight status this weekend.
Snow will fall across most of the region through the night, tapering on Saturday morning. Many areas will have storm totals of 2-7 inches with some spots more.

Sunday is expected to see some sun.
There also is the chance of another snow Sunday night and Monday, though the trend has been toward lower impact of that follow-up system. There will also be chances for snow Monday night through Tuesday and again late in the week.
Cold weather temperatures are for at least another week to ten days.
