An employee of the foundation, Ruel Olanday, heard a woman calling from where she was stuck in an elevator between floors.

Officials with the Seattle Foundation shared a video of Ruel’s song. The woman stuck in the elevator was caught between the floor that hosts the foundation and the company above them for around an hour.

Foundation officials say Ruel regularly has his instrument at work. Ruel and the woman were able to meet after power had been restored.

The outages Wednesday affected about 60 percent of downtown Seattle. The cause has yet to be determined.

Locations that went dark include the Pike Place Market, Seattle’s tallest building Columbia Center and the Seattle Public Library. The Seattle Great Wheel also lost power and became stuck, along with the rest of businesses on the city’s waterfront.
