Man injured in downtown Seattle shooting Thursday

SEATTLE — A man was wounded after a shooting in downtown Seattle on Thursday, according to Seattle police.

Around 12:51 a.m., Seattle police responded to a call of a shooting in the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a 39-year-old man down on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his hip.

A witness told police that he and the man were walking to a bus when an unknown person fired at them.

Officers provided first aid and he was transferred to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.

Police are investigating.
