Kent makes $1.2M from school zone cameras last year

KENT, Wash. — Kent is catching more drivers speeding on school zone traffic cameras, collecting a record $1.2 million from cameras in four school zones last year, according to the Kent Reporter.

The cameras operate for 30 minutes before and after school.

The school zone speed limit is 20 mph.

Drivers going 10 or more mph above the limit will be fined $248.
