SEATTLE — A freight train is derailed below the Olympic Sculpture Park near downtown Seattle’s waterfront.
Seven Burlington Northern Santa Fe train cars have wheels off the tracks along Myrtle Edwards Park.
The train, which is on a side track, is not blocking any traffic.
Crews are working to get the cars back on the tracks. They should be finished by mid-afternoon or evening.
The cars are carrying grain. None has spilled.
The derailment has no impact on commuter lines.
The cause of the derailment is not known.
