Free entrance to some National Parks in Washington on April 17

SEATTLE — Grab a friend, those kids that are bouncing off the walls or head out on your own, because National Park Week is here. To kick it off, the National Park Service has made April 17 a fee-free day.

The presidentially proclaimed week is a great time to explore some awe-inspiring places in our state and take advantage of the warmest weekend of the year so far!

Take advantage of the free day by visiting these participating National Parks in Washington.

Parks across the country will host special programs, events and digital experiences.

Dogs aren’t allowed at some parks (like Mount Rainier), so be sure to check the park details before packing up your pup!

The next free entrance day is August 25.
