Police arrest five protesters after issuing multiple dispersal orders

SEATTLE — Five protesters were arrested Thursday night near Seattle University after police said they issued multiple dispersal orders.

The group of demonstrators was being monitored as they marched around 12th Avenue and East Cherry Street, according to police.

Law enforcement said several people in the group pulled dumpsters and other things into the road as they marched.

Four of the people were booked into the King County Jail, and one juvenile was arrested but is expected to be released to a parent.

The five demonstrators were arrested for obstructing and resisting near 12th Avenue and East Spring Street.
